FALKEN TIRE EXPANDS MARKET 'FOOTPRINT'™ WITH SISTER BRAND OHTSU IN NEW MULTI-BRAND EFFORT

 LAS VEGAS (November 4, 2011) – Falken Tire, a leader in advanced high performance tires, has announced the expansion of its product lines by adding Ohtsu branded tires, another member of the Sumitomo global family.  Ohtsu has enjoyed a long history of manufacturing well-designed, sensible tires since its inception in 1944, and became part of the Sumitomo family in 2003. This new multi-brand strategy, which began in 2010 with the addition of Medium Truck & Bus (TBR) lines of Ohtsu, will ultimately add the sister brand’s passenger and light truck tires, significantly increasing Falken’s product offering and enhancing its position among its North American customer base.

 

On display at the Falken booth at the 2011 SEMA Show will be Ohtsu’s HP & UHP passenger car tire the FP7000 and All Terrain Light Truck AT4000 tire giving attendees a chance to see the new product for the first time in the U.S.  These tires will be introduced to the North American market in 2012 by select Falken distributors.  The brand has earned a quality reputation in the TBR category and its products are readily available today at numerous tire stores nationwide.
